Any trace of an Ian Marshall - my uncle and brother to my late father andrew marshall who died in a climbing accident on Snowdon Jan 15th 1972. Ian lived in the Frimley green/camberley area about 5 years ago and served for a long while with The Royal Engineers. Any leads gratefully appreciated. Andrew

Andrew - I dont know if youve been lucky yet in finding your uncle but Im certain this is the Ian Marshall I was married to and with whom I had a son (Neil) in 1975. He told me about his brothers accident, that he had two children (son and daughter I think) and that you lived in the Berwick-upon-Tweed area? If your grandfather is called Anderson Murray Marshall then I think that about seals it.
Ian actually served with the Parachute Regiment and from time to time I have attempted to locate him as he broke contact with Neil around 1980 and has never been in touch since. The last I knew of him was when he was working some sort of management consultant company.
