Johnson (Birth Name) My sister gave birth to a baby boy in a Grimsby, Lincs hospital 38 years ago, on 19th September 1964. She was unmarried & sadly unable to keep him. She named him Tony (or Anthony) Johnson. She was absolutely heart broken at having to give up her little baby Son for adoption. She has only ever confided in me about him & does not know I am posting this message. I would just like to know that if you are out there Tony (?) your birth Mother loved you so much & has never forgotten you.

Dear Aunty Pauline, (HeHe)
Thank you so, so much for posting your message and replying. Believe me you are not the only person shaking with shock and crying a few tears today. I was not sure if you would ever reply back to me, as I interpreted your original message as a one off, ‘just to let me know my mother had never forgotten me’. It was only February 28th this year, 3 days after discovering my birth mothers name from a social worker following my application to the General Register Office for my original birth certificate, that I pressed the reply button on the message board. I waited and waited but no reply. I phoned Ukpeoplefinder yesterday and they said ‘post it again’ as the system may not have been functioning correctly. So I did and Heypresto
Incredibly, I found your message by accident. Having seen the social worker, that evening my girlfriend and I spent several hours searching haphazardly and were about to call it a day (or night) when one more site out of many caught her eye. And there you were…… Unbelievable.
I am just so glad first contact has been through you and not via my social worker, who said he had found several likely addresses in the Dagenham area and would, with my permission, send a carefully worded letter out on my behalf.
Deciding to search for my mother was not an easy decision, as my adoptive mother is very anti me finding my natural mother and I would never want to knowingly upset her. She has been a wonderful mum and I love her dearly but life is too short and the need to know just too overpowering.
I dont know the procedure of how we are supposed to contact each other outside of UkPF but my email address is jnj@wincourt.plus.com. I am just so happy to know contact been made and Iris is still alive. Exciting isn’t it (Though maybe a little daunting as well).
Enough for now. I look forward to our future contacts. Please send my love to Iris when you next speak with her and thank you once again for being the one to make all this possible.
John

Hello John (Tony),

Well what can I say I read your message about 3 hours ago have only just stopped shaking with shock I honestly thought I would never receive a reply from you now that I have, here goes

As I wrote in my original search message, on Messagematch, my sister Iris Rose Johnson, your birth Mother, never knew that Id placed the search in the first place So after plucking up the courage, I picked up the phone, explained the situation to her, then read out my request your reply Yes, it was a complete total shock to her. But, can you believe this, only 4 days ago, on Monday 19 April, she was talking/sobbing to a councellor all about you how ashamed bad she felt about giving you away 39 years ago. She asked me to tell you that she was never ever ashamed of you, but of how she got into that predicament of having you adopted. She has always thought of you loved you as though you were still with her. However, she has always kept this a secret has never even told her husband. So, this week-end shes preparing herself to tell him all about you. There are so many questions/answers to discuss, but Ill wait until Iris has had a talk with her husband, then get back to you. Until then, please feel free to contact me with anything you wish to know. Ill be here for you, until Iris has come to terms with the shock of knowing that you are alive only at the end of my PC Love Pauline (Bearman nee Johnson).
